MICROPEN SKIN NEEDLING
Automated Micro-Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for treating the skin’s overall appearance.
During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to naturally produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in improvement of the appearance of softer wrinkles. Automated micro-needling also creates superficial micro-channels which can be used with topical gels, creams and serums to help improve the appearance of the epidermal layer of the skin.
The objective is to stimulate or puncture the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, smooth skin and promote scar or stretch mark reduction through the skins natural wound healing process. This skin treatment is suitable for most skin types, and in particular is popular amongst darker skin patients that are unable to benefit from alternate light therapies.
Skin needling can be used to improve appearance of scarring , reduce dilated blood vessels and reduce wrinkles.
